Friday Fave/Not Fave

Hello again lovies! 

 My Fave: is this new baby oil/gel that my friend suggested to me after I was complaining to her about my awful winter dry skin. After much searching I have finally found my cure, it's Johnson's baby oil gel. I found it with the baby stuff at Target, if you have been fighting dry skin like I have you need to try it!

 NOT FAVE: is that I don't really have a spring break this year, or have ever had one. I have never been to the beach or had the typical college spring break experience. Now that I am finally 21, I have to work (boo)! I am lucky, though, that my boss was able to give me the first weekend off, so here's to fitting a whole week of fun into one weekend! Anyone else think this could be a recipe for disaster? (just kidding, I swear I'm actually really responsible) What are y'alls spring break plans, anything fun?

OOTD: Lumberjack Chic

Hello lovies!

 I hope y'all had a good President's Day, I did. I went to lunch with two of my really good girlfriends at a mexican restaurant and shared a Big Red margarita. It was so yummy! I've seen margs with bottles of beer in it, but I always feel like that's just way too much alcohol for me, but with this being a bottle of soda in my marg it was perfect! If y'all ever stumble upon a soda marg you must try it.

 I have really been loving this shirt lately, I always love a good button down but this one is just on a whole other level with the sequin top. And then the boots are monogrammed so, duh, I love them.

Friday Fave/Not Fave

Hello lovies!

So it's Sunday and I'm doing my Friday Fave/Not Fave (what else is new). I'm thinking my goal to blog three times a week has pretty much gone out the window, but I don't have any tests this week so maybe I'll be able to get three posts in. I just always seem to forget how much I really do love to read other's blogs and how much I love to write my own. Then I do it again, and I'm like "oh yea, this is why I do blog."

 But anyways, this week I'm strictly talking about make up! One my absolute favorite subjects of all time! SO my FAVE: is Loreal's butterfly mascara. Y'all it works sooo good! We all know how much I love Benefit's They're Real, and this is definitely coming after that number one spot in my mascara line up. And for a price of about $8 or $9 you'd be crazy not to pick it up next time you're at your local Target! Trust me you will not regret it.

 My NOT FAVE: this week is more of a "I just really don't know what I think". I heard a lot of hype about the Maybelline baby skin instant pore eraser, but I just kind of feel so/so about it. I don't necessarily dislike it, but I don't love it like I thought I would. I just don't really see a difference when I use it, I think my skin and make up looks about the same with or without it. If any of you ladies have used it I would love to hear what y'all think, or if you have a primer that you love let me know!

 I hope y'all have had a great start to your week! I had a test that I've been dreading get moved to next week, so my week has been great so far!

A little more sweater weather

Hello lovies!

 I hope y'all are having a good weekend! I am in Houston for a cheer competition (fun!). This is the outfit that I wore to dinner, we had some really cold temperatures earlier this week but it has warned up some. With that being said I am trying to get all the wear I can out of my sweaters and winter clothes before it gets too hot to wear them anymore!

Friday Fave/Not Fave

Hellos lovies!

 This weekend I went to New Orleans for a cheer competition, and had a blast! But that has been the reason I haven't blogged in a while. We did not have free wifi in our room, can you believe that?! I unfortunately did not even have time to sit in the lobby to blog. I was way too busy sight seeing and practicing! So here is my Fave and Not Fave from last week!

 Fave: New Orleans, duh! I am so in love with that city. I went there three years ago for another competition and fell in love with it then, and I have been dying to go back ever since. I just think it's the neatest place, there's so much history and culture and so much to learn from just walking and looking around. The streets and buildings are just so old and so beautiful. I will have a separate post all about my trip later in the week.

 Not Fave: The drive! We hit so much traffic on the way there, it probably added at least an extra hour to our drive! I get so annoyed and impatient in traffic, and this was so bad. But that really was the only bad thing about the trip.

Winter dry skin

Hello lovies! 

 So this winter my skin has been so dang dry! It always gets a little dry, but this year it is just on another level. I've been itchy from dryness this year, which has never happened to me before. Luckily my face has been fine, it's just been my body that's super dry. So I just wanted to share with y'all some of the things I'm doing to try and keep my skin moisturized. I would also love to hear what products y'all use, because I don't really feel like I've found anything that works as good as I want it to.

 I was at Target one day (go figure) and saw that Nutrogena's body oil was on sale so I decided to pick some up. I feel like it's worked better than whatever lotion I was using at the time but I still notice that I'm dry and sometimes itchy when I use it. I'm also picky about which lotion I use, because the skin soaks up so much of what you put on it. With that being said I picked up a natural lotion by Juice Beauty that I'm hoping will work good, I've only used it once so I don't really know yet how good it will be. The Nutrogena oil isn't natural, but it was on sale so I decided it wouldn't hurt. As of now I only moisturize once a day after I get out of the shower at night; I don't want to have to moisturize in the morning too because I feel like I don't have time in the morning but I guess I will if I keep getting itchy! It's really annoying, I don't like to be sitting in class itching my legs! Anyway let me know what y'alls favorite lotions or oils are and maybe something will work for me, or one of the things I've used will work for you!

Friday Fave/Not Fave

TGIF!

 I am so happy it's Friday, this week went by super fast for me! I hope y'all had a good week!

 Fave: This week my fave is my christmas present from Jake! He got me the most gorgeous Michael Kors purse that I'm sure y'all have noticed in my last few outfit posts. I am so in love with it, and he got it at the outlet so he got amazing deal. But long story short, I really freaking love it and he could not have done a better job. (even if I did pick it out)

 Not Fave: My not fave this week is the break down and hydro planing incident that happened yesterday. I was on my way home from Austin and my top radiator hose busted because of some leak, and then on my way to cheer practice and the mechanic shop I hydro planed and hit something. I am fine though, thank goodness, but I now have a huge dent in my car and a knocked out tail light. When it rains it pours, huh?

 I can't believe it's Thursday already! Where has my week gone?! Here's an outfit I wore this weekend before we were hit with those very low, un-Texas temps. I think it's a great way to get the most out of your wardrobe and wear your summer clothes in the winter. Why cut your summer clothes out of your wardrobe if you don't have to? 2014 Blog Goals

Hello Lovies!

  I hope all of you had a great Monday! I had the day off which I, of course, enjoyed. I stayed at my mom's house Sunday night so I got to sleep in with my dog Luke, and when I got back to San Marcos I ran some errands and cleaned. I have been needing to clean this apartment so bad, but have just not had the motivation and today I finally got it done! Well some of it at least. To add to the cleaning a friend of mine came over and organized my closet for me! I am so excited about it. I really haven't liked the way I set it up when I moved in and I think I'm going to be really happy with the way she organized it. I am also really excited because Jake comes home from skiing in Colorado tomorrow! He's been gone since Thursday, even though we have a long distance relationship I don't think I will ever get used to him being gone. I always miss him so much and am so excited for him to be back until he has to go back to school in a few days.

  I think this post is really self explanatory, it's obviously my blog goals for this year and I'm going to work really hard to make myself stick to them. I'm still pretty new to the whole blogging thing, but I'm hoping this year I can really put in the time and effort to make this blog everything that I want it to be! I would love to hear what some of y'alls goals are for 2014, blog related or not.

OOTD: Cardigan Lovin'

Happy Saturday, lovies!

 I hope ya'll are out somewhere having fun! I will be attending a family friend's baby shower this weekend and of course working. I have one more week of Christmas break, and I just can't even comprehend that. Where has the time gone?!

 Here is an outfit I wore to work this week, It's easy and simple which is why I love it! I also love it because I got to wear my favorite loafers that I am obsessed with, and I have found out that they keep my feet extremely toasty.

Friday Fave/Not Fave

Hello lovies!!

 I am excited about this week's Fave, because it's what this blog is all about....a good deal!! Sooo this week my FAVE: is that Target is putting Mabeline Bouncy blushes on sale! Like for a $1.99 or something around there. They are unfortunately being discontinued, but the good news is that means great deals for us. I'm hoping that H-E-B and Ulta will jump on the bandwagon and put them on sale soon, I'll be keeping my eye out for ya'll!

 My Not Fave: is NewYear's resolutions, because I think they are way overrated and just never seem to work out. At least for me they never work out, I never stick to them! But if I were going to make one it would definitely be to eat better and workout more, duh!

 And with that being said I would like to wish y'all a very happy new year, I hope everyone had a safe and fun NYE and I hope 2014 ends up being your best year yet! I'm certainly hoping it'll be my best year! (but who isn'?)
